About This Activity
This event is being put on in support of my sister Cassandra Evans Young. She was born May 15, 1996 and died on January 3, 1997 of a condition called SIDS, or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, which is given to children that die without reason or probable cause. Doctors are getting closer and closer to figuring out why this happens and have come up with some ways to help prevent SIDS, or SUID (Sudden Unexpected Infant Death) from happening to your child. Practicing Safe Sleep, where the baby sleeps alone, on their back, with no pillows, blankets, or stuffed animals is the best method. Keeping smoke-free in the household and around the mother while she is pregnant is also very important. Please support this cause by attending this event and donating towards finding a cure so that no more families have to experience this. If you would like more information about Safe Sleep or this cause please call SIDS Resources at 573-364-5900 or 800-421-3511.
