About This Activity
What is WalkFIT intermediate: WalkFIT intermediate is aimed at taking your walking experience to the next level by preparing you to walk a 10K, 15K or half marathon. Through our experienced walking coaches, organized group walks, and proven curriculum, this program lays out the groundwork needed to walk even faster or further.
Commitment: 12 weeks. Training sessions are offered in the spring, summer and fall.
Current fitness level: must have walked a recent 5K or completed the Beginner WalkFIT program prior to starting this program.
WalkFIT Intermediate: a 12 week flexible training schedule; online training tool to track progress and communicate with coaches; clinics on various topics such as: stretching, race prep, and nutrition. A safe supportive environment for all athletic abilities; 2 weekly organized, coached and mentored workouts; a custom No Boundaries training New Balance technical top; coupon booklet of savings; instant friends; supportive and encouraging coaches; access to free injury screenings and clinics; and an after program graduation party.
