About This Activity
There's no better time and event to start spring training than with the 5th annual Robin Run.
The Robin Run is a sanctioned event of the Return of the Robin Hockey Tournament held in Rochester. The Robin Run will be a 5k run/walk, a 10K run, a 1/2 Marathon and a KIDS 1/2 mile.
You can run the Robin Run as a serious runner or as a beginner. The events are chip timed. These races have unique course routes which do not follow the same trials that most of the runs in Rochester plot. The courses begin and end at the Rochester Graham Arena. There is a pre and post-race gathering space inside the Graham Arean #2 with showers and locker rooms. There is also a bloody mary bar, a breakfast, a kids fun festival with all sorts of goodies at the post race party. There are unique race medals, a Robin Run T-shirt, runner tournament wristband and memento running bib for all runners
Kids Run 1/2 MILE
Come run with ROBBIE …. the official mascot of the Return of the Robin. The Robin Run is kicked off by a kids race! Come early and cheer on the kids before you race. All kids 10 years or younger are encouraged to come to the Robin Run and participate in a 1k out and back race. Pre-registered kids will receive a Return of the Robin medal and T-shirt. There is a kids festivale following the kids run with a magician, kids tattoos and more. Entry fee is $5
OTHER BOUNUSES for ROTR Runners:
All runners/walkers receive tournament bands that provide the same deals that the hockey players including free and/or discounted entries to all ROTR Tournament activities. There is a tournament banquet, runners happy hour at the beer gardens, a silent auction, Hairball concert ($10 entry), beer gardens, bean bag tournament, indoor tailgating, hotel discounts and much more. This is an unique run and one that offers loads of fun both on the trail and off. Come to Rochester and join the ROTR fun!
The proceeds go directly to the Fitch-Dickman Foundation (an organization that supports and mentors youth wanting to get into sports). However this year the proceeds will be used to help families that are fighting cancer.
