The 10th annual AdvoKate Charity Run and Walk takes place Saturday August 6th, 2016 at Rochester Municipal Park just outside of Downtown Rochester. Walk and Run distances are available for all ages and fitness levels; 10k and 5k chip-timed runs, a 5k walk and a 1 mile fun run / stroller jog. The 10k and 5k courses cover a combination of concrete and light gravel, tree-lined trails. Post-run/walk activities include activities for children, raffle prizes and refreshments generously donated by local businesses. All proceeds support pediatric brain tumor research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a non-profit treatment and research facility treating children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases, regardless of health insurance status.
