About This Activity

The Boots2Books 5K race starts in front of the brand new Student Life Center and runs towards the stop light at Overland Dr, from there it takes a turn back out on to Colonial Ave toward Winding Way. Once the course turns left on to Winding Way it takes the first right following Winding Way through a senic residential neighborhood. At the end of Winding Way the course takes a left on to Park Ln and follows this road for some moderate hills and great views of Mill Mountain from this side of the neighborhood. Once Park Ln passes Dogwood Ln it turns into Heritage Rd, however the course remains on this road until it meets back with Dogwood Ln near the Virginia Western Campus where it takes a left and goes up one last hill and back down to Colonial Ave and follows the course back toward Campus and finishes in front of the Student Life Center.

This course has been certified by USA Track and Field as an official 5K course. This course was measured and certified in 1984.
