Programs: FULL & HALF MARATHONS – Training Program aligns to:
New Orleans or One City (March 4, 2018) – 12 week program kicks off, Saturday, December 9, 2017 to prepare you for the New Orleans full or half marathon or the One City (Newport News) marathon. Members from our team will be running these races, either spending a weekend in New Orleans or commuting to Newport News. Come join the team and register today to train for one of these out of town races. You will be responsible for registering for the race and providing your own transportation, lodging, & meals.
Shamrock (March 18, 2018) - 14 week program kicks off, Saturday, December 9, 2017 to prepare you for either the half or full Shamrock marathon in Virginia Beach. This is a popular race in our region and several team members from Richmond will be attending this race. Come join the fun!
Boston (April 16) – 18 week program kicks off, Saturday, December 9, 2017 to prepare you for the Boston. This program targets experience, elite runners who are scheduled to run Boston in 2018. Come run with some of Richmond’s best.
RUN for FUN - Starts on December 9, 2017 (just to come out and run with our team). This is our Stay Fit / Stay Active Maintenance Program – Not running a race but want to stay in shape through the winter? Join us for our Stay Fit / Stay Active Maintenance program. You run at your own pace and distance – we suggest running at anywhere from 5 to 7 miles each Saturday. It’s a great way to stay active during the colder months so you don’t lose your base running fitness level and so you don’t have to run alone!
CORE Workout Option, December 2017 through March 2018, starts December 5, 2017. This option focuses on improving and maintaining your core which is essential to running performance. Starting December 5, 2017, we meet for 45 minutes, each Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm to 6:45pm, outside in various places in the West End of Richmond. Haven’t tried a core workout outside during the winter? You don’t know what you are missing! The focus of our core is on strengthening those muscles that are critical to balance and stability. Core exercises train the muscles in your pelvis, lower back, hips, and abdomen to work in harmony. These muscles are often overlooked. We help bring the harmony back so that you maintain a well-balanced fitness level and we do so in a fun and very team motivating environment! Past participants have said “this is one of the best programs I’ve ever done”, “my core has improved so much since I started this program”, “I’ve lost weight in the 3 months since I started this program”… This program is led by professionally trained instructors.

JOIN our TEAM today and become part of a running club that trains with a purpose! This program will help you train for any Spring full or half marathon.
Requirements for either marathon program:
Must be able to run 5 miles (if training for a full) and 3 miles (if training for a half) comfortably by your start date. Must be at least 18 years old to participate. Must be able to complete a full marathon in 7 hours. Must be able to complete the half marathon in 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Results: In our survey, over 97% of our participants met or exceeded their race goals when adding the core option to their training.
Full Marathon: $40.00 Half Marathon: $30.00 Run for Fun: $20.00
Core Option: $100.00 (December 5 to March 29, 4 months, 2x per week)
