Event details and schedule

The AIDS Walk/Run begins at 7:15AM with opening of the Vendor Village and participant check-in.  The Vendor Village features:

  • Coffee and fruit for participants
  • Health and Wellness Booths
  • Pet Supplies
  • Great raffle prizes including dinners, fitness packages and more.

8AM - 5K Run starts and goes west along the river path to Ivan Sacks park and back.  Whether you’re new to running or a seasoned runner just looking to get in your daily workout, the course is unique in that it does not go on city streets and instead travels the picturesque Truckee River path providing shade and a great route to test your metal against other runners.

8:30AM - 3K Dog Walk begins to downtown Reno along the Truckee River path and crosses at Ralston and returns to the park.  The walk is leisurely paced - let you dog play in the water or take your time and stop for coffee on the way back.

11:30AM - Event Ends

Additional Info:

Parking is available in Idlewild Park and along Idlewild Drive.

Dog Walk - please make sure your dog is leashed and current on all shots.

HAVE FUN - Most important is to have fun and know you are helping to treat, care for, assist, educate and prevent HIV in Northern Nevada.
