About This Activity
Join us for our third annual Miles for Mothers event on May 7th, 2016 at the American Legion Park in Redmond, Oregon.
The Miles for MothersRaces are not only fun, competitive, and professionally timed, but also a time to honor mothers. Our goal is to heighten awareness of the many difficult issues mothers face, to increase knowledge of family health resources available and to promote health lifestyles in Central Oregon. In honor of Mother's Day, funds raised will be specifically designated to subsidize the cost of counseling for mothers in needs.
The 5K/10K course will race along Redmond's beautiful Dry Canyon trail. Both races will begin at 9 am.
The 1K Kids Fun Run will circle around the American Legion sports complex and up the canyon a short distance. The Kids Run will start at approximately 10 am.
The Miles for Mothers Silent Auction is new to the event this year and will be open from 8:30-10:30 am.
Awards will be given to the fastest overall male and female, and to the top three individual male and female finishers in each age category for the 5k/10k Races. All Mom finishers will receive a special gift! Ribbons will be given to all participants in the 1K Kids Fun Run. All participants will recieve great swag and delicious food following their race!
