About This Activity
The CHAIN for seniors Anniversary 5k walk/run fundraiser will help support low income senior citizens in our community. CHAIN for seniors is a non profit organization located in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. We provide releif for senior citizens by providing them with toiletries, housekeeping, and home repairs. This event is located at Central Park in Rancho Cucamonga. Please come and support our low income seniors citizens and provide a change for them. Have fun and be healthy for a great cause! 50/50 raffles, gift raffles, free face painting for the kids, magic show, and an amazing gift giveaway for the person who fundraises the most! All runners receive goodie bags. Metals for the first 3 runners who cross the finish line in each category! Register by September 7th to receive an event t-shirt.
Event details and schedule
8:00 am- Late registration and check in begin. You will then recieve your t-shirt and program. Visit our booths. Please bring cash for our 50/50 raffle and gift giveaways and don't miss the fun! Free face painting and a magician for the kids!
9:00 am- Welcome and announcements. Warm up by our sponsor Fit Body Boot Camp. Walk/run starts.
10:30-11:00- Announcements of race winners, 50/50 and gift winners. Goodie Bags for all runners! We encourage you to set up a personal fundraising page. Whoever receives the most sponsorship money for our organization wins a night out on the town!
11:00-3:00- Shakey's Pizza Victoria Gardens. Our sponsor Shakey's Pizza at Victoria Gardens will be hosting lunch after the event! Please bring all your friends and family to enjoy some pizza and fun! 25% of the proceeds goes to CHAIN for seniors.
Course info- The route will follow west on Base Line, north up the wash, east on the Pacific Electric Trail towards Milliken, turn around on the Pacific Electric Trail back west towards the wash, and turn around on the Pacific Electric Trail back east towards Milliken to the finish line. We will have volunteers at check points guiding the route.
Parking- parking is available at the James L. Brute Senior Center, as well as Central Park.
Please dress comfortably. We encourage wearing event t-shirt if you registered before September 7th and will be receiving one.
Please arrive by 8:00 am to ensure check in.
