About This Activity
Spring is in the air .. The flowers are blooming, the days are getting longer and brighter, and running season is officially ON! Whether that makes you excited, terrified or both, you’ll find you’re not alone when you join the 8 Week Spring Running Series from Healthy Girl Fitness. This season, we’re calling it "Just Get Out and Do It," and if you are the kind of runner who’s scared of joining a running group, this is without a doubt the right one for you. Whether you’re trying to improve or just trying to get going, you’ll find a group of supportive people to help motivate you to lace up one hour for one day a week. This is the place where you'll meet running friends of all abilities, get the support you need from an RRCA Certified running coach, and get your body in motion. The group will work on form, speed, strength/cardio training, and all things running-related with customized plans and running advice available upon request.
There are two different time options available to you, depending on your availability. This is the Thursday AM option, which will meet at Vista Brook Park on Thursdays at 9:30AM from April 2nd thru May 21st. There is also a Wednesday PM option at the Oregon Episcopal School's track at 6:30PM on Wednesdays from April 1st thru May 20th. Whether you sign up for the AM or the PM option, you are welcome to come to both or either. There might even be a few field trips planned to other nearby locations in SW Portland. We will run RAIN or SHINE! I will only postpone classes if the weather is deemed too dangerous.
