Who can register for Trail to Ale?
Anyone ages 14 and above can participate! Whether you’re a seasoned runner, or want to walk the route with a few friends, the Trail to Ale 10k draws one of the most diverse crowds of any local race.
You can register individually or register as a 6-pack team.
What are the requirements for a team?
In order to qualify, teams must have a minimum of 3 women and 3 men. However, there is no maximum number of participants. If you and your office of 75 people want to run on a team, go for it! The times of the fastest 3 women and the fastest 3 men will determine the placement of your team overall.
You must decide whether you are going to be on a team or run as an individual at the time of registration.
What is the race course?
Our race course is one of the best in the city, check out the Trail to Ale 10K Race course map. This is the same course used in 2014, and will be certified by USATF.
If I am unable to attend the race can I get a refund?
There are no refunds, but you can transfer your registration to another person before September 1. Contact us at info [at] trails.org.
Can I run with my dog? What about my stroller?
Strollers and dogs are not permitted in this event.
I love Portland Trails, but I can’t participate in the race. What do I do?
No problem, you can still participate in Trail to Ale as a volunteer! We cannot hold this event without all the help we get from volunteer community members. Keep your eyes open for upcoming details on our website or Facebook page, or email catherine [at] trails.org for more information.
Do you hand out prizes for top finishers?
Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers, as determined by gun time. There are also male and female age group awards and 6-pack team awards.
