About This Activity

This bayshore route runs through the historic village of Bivalve, New Jersey. It's a natural setting with gorgeous views of the Delaware Bay. Birds of prey including Bald Eagles, Osprey and many different hawks are commonplace. The Bayshore Center is home of New Jersey's Tallship, The A.J. Meerwald, which is an award-winning, living classroom. Our mission is to inspire people to care for the history, culture and environment of New Jersey's Bayshore region through education, preservation and example.
After the run (or walk) we fill ourselves with specially prepared, homemade food with a healthy focus. Of course the standard fare of bagels and fruit is also available, but the food, prepared with love, is really what sets this race apart from others.
All proceeds from the race are used to fund our educational programs both on board the Meerwald and at our living history museum and art gallery, The Bayshore Center.
