About This Activity

The City of Parkland will be holding 2014 Parkland Monster Dash 5K, 10K and 1 Mile Fun Run Presented by Northwest Medical Center to benefit SOS Children's Society on October 25, 2014 at 7:00am. The race will take place at Pine Trails Park located at 10555 Trails End Parkland, Florida. Proceeds from the Parkland Monster Dash will benefit SOS Children's Village.

Check-in and late registrations will take place from 6:00am 7:00am.Participants can choose either a certified 5K course , 10K course or a 1 mile fun run/walk. 5K and 10K participants will be scored and timed by Accuchip who will be providing disposable tags for all participants. The one mile fun run/walk can be enjoyed by individuals or families. Strollers are welcome for all courses. T-shirts will be provided for the first 500 pre-registered participants and food will be available following the race. Awards will be given for overall winners, masters and individual age groups.

Costume Contest 
Registered participants can also sign up to be apart of the costume contest. This is free of charge and can be done day of event. 
Individual      ages 11 and under     ages 12 - 17     ages 18 and older
Group (2 or more people)
Time: Evaluation Time: 8:00am - 8:30am 
Costume Contest Rules:

  • You must be a registered participant and complete the race event in your costume to be eligible for prizes 
  • Groups must come to the judging table together to be eligible 
  • Groups must pick a team captain and a team name. 
  • You must have a race number visible to be eligible for the Costume Contest. 
  • You must be present at the awards ceremony to win a prize  

Judges will be looking for originality, overall theme and craftsmanship.
