About This Activity
MUST REGISTER BY NOVEMBER 1st! Registration for the event is $25 and this fee will include a tee shirt!
You can join us in turning the deadly facts about stomach and esophageal cancers into fiction. Your support will facilitate research into these deadly diseases – and help us lead the way to effective treatments and, one day, a cure. This race provides you with an opportunity to transform lives in a direct and meaningful way.
This is a virtual race, meaning you will register online and simply choose your own starting line, whether it's a treadmill or a neighborhood street! You can also begin anytime you like, as long as it is on November 14th. You are welcome to run or walk and, if you would like, you can post your finish time to our website. There will be a male and female winner for the fastest times posted! Prizes will consist of $50 Amex gift cards!
Runners commit to a $100 fundraising commitment, due in full by November 13th, 2020. You will submit this $100-dollar fundraising minimum through the donate tab on your RunSignUp portal.
- You will check into the virtual race on the day of November 14th on your RunSignUp portal.
- This is also where you will be able to upload your time if you plan on running, but you also have the option to just walk.
- You will be able to see the names of all participants and their times if they chose to submit them! So, make sure and cheer your friends and family participating on!
- On the day of the race make sure to wear your T-shirt and send in photos/videos of you participating. Also make sure to tag us on social media so we can re-share these photos as they come in!
- We will all be running/walking the 5K from different places around the nation; however we want it to be as interactive an experience as possible!
- You are encouraged to post live Instagram/Facebook stories showing yourselves running/ walking to get featured on our social media!
- Make sure to stay up-to-date on our social media where you can find things such as our 5K playlist on Spotify we are creating for you, so you have some shared tunes to cheer you on!
- We will be posting fundraising updates, winner updates, etc. on Facebook and Instagram throughout the day of the race as well!
- Make sure to download the Run-signup app to be able to upload your times on race day!
