About This Activity

A family-friendly event, the 6th annual Coastal Run/Walk for Foster Youth will raise funds for GSEP initiatives to improve the lives of foster children in Los Angeles County.

  • 5K: 8:30 AM
  • 10K: 9:00 AM
  • Kids' Dash: 9:30 AM

5K/10K Fees: $35 until 1/10, $40 thereafter

  • Running Club Member (with discount code): $30 until 1/10, $35 thereafter
  • Pepperdine Student (with discount code): $25 until 1/10, $30 thereafter
  • Kids' Dash (strollers and wagons welcome): $15

For Pepperdine community members (alumni, students, parents, faculty, and staff) Coastal registration includes a $10 gift to Pepperdine’s Coastal Fund.

Packet Pick-Up Locations: 

Saturday, January 16, 10 AM - 4 PM at Location TBD.
*All who pick up their race bib and packet at Road Runner Sports will receive 20% off their purchases that day and be entered into a raffle to win a $250 shopping spree from Road Runner.

Brief Description:

Walk or run along the city street of Vista Del Mar to finish in the beach parking lot. The course is considered fast for a great personal record (PR).

Parking:

Pre-paid parking passes are available for purchase via the online registration page.  If using a paper form for registration, please contact 310.568.2880 to purchase a pass.  All parking passes will be distributed with the runners bibs at packet pickup.

Kids' Dash & Family Fun Zone: 

Kids 12 and under are invited to participate in the Kids' Dash -- running as far as they can through the finish line!  Also, returning this year is our Family Fun Expo, which includes food trucks (be sure to bring cash) music, vendor booths, and a KidZone (games, art, and more). Lots to enjoy while friends and family wait for their favorite runner to finish.

Directions:

From the 405 Freeway, take the 105 Century West freeway to Imperial Highway. (The 105 freeway merges onto Imperial Highway). Follow Imperial Highway West until it ends. Cross over Vista Del Mar into the beach parking lot.

Parking:

Parking passes are available for pre-purchase in the online registration form and can be picked up with your bib at Packet Pickup. Vista Del Mar will be closed during the race, so be sure to arrive prior to 7:45am to enter the parking lot. Also, no cars will be able to exit the Dockweiler parking lot between 8am and 9:30am. If you need to leave at 9:30am make sure you park in lot #1 (closest to Imperial Highway.)

Packet Pick-Up

Pick up your race bib, runner's shirt and parking pass on Friday, January 22nd at CALIFORNIA BANK & TRUST, Santa Monica Branch, 100 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica, CA 90401 from noon to 6 p.m., (Validated parking is available in the parking structure east of the bank on Wilshire). You can also register on race morning at Dockweiler State Beach, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
