GLIRC/Runner's Edge Winter Fun Run

Sadly, the pandemic makes it impossible for the usual crowd of 250 (or more) runners to join with Bob Cook and the gang at The Runner’s Edge as we usually do on the last Sunday of February, BUT.... The next best thing is to have a Fun Run at the Clubhouse that morning.

You MUST be a current member of GLIRC to register, and you MUST preregister. All ages and levels of ability welcome.

• 2 pairs of running shoes
• 4 ON canvas backpacks
• 2 Salomon knit hats
• 2 Balega metal drinking bottles
• 2 New Balance metal coffee cups with a knit beanie inside 
• 2 pairs Saucony socks
• 1 pair Balega socks

Drawing will take place while you are running - return from your jaunt to find out if you're a winner! If you're a winner, head on over to Runner's Edge where your prize will be ready and waiting for you. 

After post-run refueling, everyone is welcome to head over to the Runner’s Edge, 242 Main Street in Farmingdale for their AMAZING Winter Apparel/Accessories Clearance sale!

Can’t make the run? Feel free to head down to The Runner’s Edge for their great Clearance Sale anyhow!

Run the bike path or run the trails. Distance - your choice! All ages and levels of ability welcome. You MUST be a *current* member of GLIRC when you register and you MUST preregister. In accordance with current New York State rules, registration will be limited to the first  50 runners who sign up! Run will be held rain or shine. 

The run will start at 8:00am.  All runners will be checked in when they arrive starting at 7:30am, and only registered runners will be allowed to participate. 

We will provide post race grab and go snacks courtesy of ALL ROUND FOODS plus bottled water. 

Porta potties will be available before and after the run.

Masks must be worn when you are not running.

Registration will open on Tuesday evening, February 16th at 7:00 PM.
The event is FREE, but we must limit turnout to 50 people, so do not delay in signing up!
