About This Activity

Run for Babies 5K is a fast, flat course, running through the streets of Pittsburgh and along the Riverfront Trail.  Start and Finish Lines at Heinz Field.  Packet Pick Up in The Great Hall, Heinz Field starting at 7:00am on race day.

When you run in Run for Babies, you give hope to nearly half a million babies born
too soon each year. Held in conjunction with our annual March for Babies, Run
for Babies and March for Babies brings together thousands of people from your
community to support programs that help moms have healthy, full-term
pregnancies. And it funds research to find answers to the problems that
threaten our babies.

Event details and schedule

The March of Dimes is proud to present its 3rd Annual Pittsburgh Run for Babies, a 5K run on Sunday, April 24, 2016.  Lace up your running shoes and join us in support of stronger, healthier babies.  The run begins at 8:00 a.m. at Heinz Field (home of the Pittsburgh Steelers) with the course taking you along General Robinson onto River Avenue, up to Heinz Street, onto the North Shore Trails to the Finish Line at Art Rooney Avenue.

Run for Babies will be followed by the March of Dimes walking event, March for Babies.  When you run or walk on Sunday, April 24th, you give hope to the nearly half a million babies born too soon each year.
