About This Activity

The SLIM Poverty Dash has been run nearly every year since 2006. Our new home in Schenley Park should provide our participants a new experience in a beautiful location. It is organized by a student group at the University of Pittsburgh called Student Leaders in International Medicine. Our mission is to advocate, educate and promote awareness about various issues in public health on an international scale. We work with community based organizations (CBOs) which are part of the MPALUTI network, in Lilongwe, Malawi to help carry out projects based on the needs of each CBO. The proceeds from this race will all go towards the MPALUTI network and our mission.

Feel and hear the thrill of a crowd while you run, walk or skip your way through the trails of Schenley Park when you join in the 2014 SLIM Poverty Dash at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday - March 22nd
