2nd Annual Soaring Above the Storm™: 5k Run and 1 Mile Walk for CADASIL

The 2nd annual Soaring Above the Storm: 5k Run and 1 Mile Walk for CADASIL will take place at Johnson Park in Piscataway Township, NJ on May 7, 2016!!  You can register here online, or on the day of the race beginning at 8:00 a.m.  Both the run and the walk will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.  You can also make a donation to the race, or sign up to be a sponsor for our event.  If you are interested in sponsoring, or know someone who is, please send us an email and someone from our sponsorship committee will reach out to you.  All proceeds from this event will benefit Cure CADASILand CADASIL research.

You may sign up to run the 5K or walk the 1 mile course.  The 5k course is USATAF certified.  We are considering the use of chip timing for this year.  Either way, it will be a timed event and we will confirm the type of timing when we have it finalized.  The top 3 male and female runners will receive recognition and a medal at our ending ceremony.  We will also be doing door prizes throughout the event.  No purchase necessary beyond registration, but you MUST be present at the award ceremony in order to receive any prizes.  All participants who register by April 8th are guaranteed a free T-shirt.  Registrations received after this date will be $30 and T-shirts will be available while supplies last.

The 1 mile course is wheel chair friendly, and there is a discount for those who may need the assistance of another person to complete the walk.  You also have the option of paying full price for both participants if you would prefer to provide additional donation to CADASIL research.  Strollers and children are welcome in the run or walk.  Children who are running or walking will need to register.  There is no additional fee for children participating in a stroller.

We have a DJ for the event, but you may bring your own headphones if you prefer.  There will be water available after the event, as well as some light refreshments.  There also will be sponsor tables set up from various companies.  If you would like to sponsor our race, please contact us and someone will be in touch with you as soon as possible.  You also may make a flat donation to the CADASIL Association if you wish.

All registrations, purchases, and donations made through this site require a processing fee, which is paid for by cureCADASIL Association.  If you would like to pay the processing fee yourself, you may select to do so at check out.
