About This Activity
Join us for the Second Annual Philadelphia OUCH! Race, a signature event for the Wound Reach Foundation. Select from a 10K Run, 5K Run/Walk option or our family-friendly Boo Boo Race (1 Mile Walk) option this year. Run or walk in the beautiful Wissahickon Park along Forbidden Drive, which is our temporary home. Our hope is to bring the Progressive Race (5K, 10K, 15K) back to the Fairmount Park, Please Touch Museum area in 2016.
Wound Reach Foundation's mission is to improve wound care globally with increased public awareness, expanded knowledge, enhanced care and support for research to improve wound care.
Event details and schedule
Registration fees will increase on the following dates: August 1st, October 1st & on Event Day.
Each participant will receive an official OUCH! Race short-sleeved dri fit performance tee. This year the shirts are Power Orange!!
T-shirts sizes will be guarunteed to the first 500 participants; shirts will be provided to all participants.
Packet Pick-up: Friday, November 6, 2015-Location Announced Soon
Avoid the lines on event day and pick-up all of our race supplies (chipped bib, t-shirt, etc.) in advance.
Registration Opens: 6:00 am
Sponsor & Wellness Expo: 6:00 am-11:00 am
10K Run Begins: 7:00 am
5K Run/Walk Begins: 7:15 am
Boo Boo Race (1 Mile Walk) Begins: 8:30 am
Awards Ceremony & Race Reception: 9:00 am
Along Northwestern Avenue, Andorra Road & Thomas Road
Two Parking Lots along Bell Mills Road, with a short walk to the Registration Area
Professional chip timing provided by Run The Day, chrono track timing. Our race (all distances) is an out and back course along the picturesque Forbidden Drive on a packed/crushed gravel trail. All runners and walkers will start and finish at the same location.
Light refreshments will be provided and there will be water stations along the course.
