Paratriathlete Triathlon-Super Sprint - Individual Age group/open
About This Activity
Abes Mini Triathlon The Abe’s Mini Triathlon will be held April 23, 2016 at 12:00, noon. The race includes a 100 yard swim in the heated indoor PORTA pool, then a 5 mile bike ride down a flat rural road and finishes with a 1 mile run on a closed course. This event is tailored to the novice triathlete and will serve as a great introduction to triathlon for children and adults.
When you finish the swim you will be able to step into the locker rooms to dry off and change to biking and running clothes if you prefer. The locker rooms are located poolside as you leave the pool. Please get yourself comfortable for the bike and run. We suggest leaving your towel and dry clothes in the locker room while swimming. They will be safe during the swim.
All ages are welcome and Clydesdales, Athenas and teams are encouraged to enter. An awards ceremony will follow after the last runner crosses the finish line. Steve O’Connor is the race director and can be reached by email here .
Post race dinner of chicken and noodles, green beans and dessert will be provided to all racers.
Additional dinner tickets should be ordered in advance for $6 a person.
Racers should tune to 1610 am for the latest race information. Post race showers will be available at the PORTA pool.
