About This Activity
TRIATHLON AT PATAGONIA LAKE
A True Olympic Distance event, sponsored by FINIS, with a smooth 1500 m swim, challenging 24.6 mile bike, and scenic10K run. This year offering a SPRINT 500m swim, 8 mile hilly bike, 5K run. This venue is just as beautiful as God intended Arizona to be. Starting at Southern Arizona's Patagonia Lake State Park on the FINIS swim course. Transition to a rigorous climb on the bike- all paved and Roadbike worthy. You will use all your gears on this one. The 10K run is on the Sonoita Creek trail head, mixed dirt and pavement- Mostly Dirt, and also has some tough climbing. Please check out course maps and pre-ride or run the courses if you can. This course has been called the toughest Olympic in Arizona.
Relay Team, 5K/10K and Duathlon are all available.
Hand made finishers medal, excellent post race meal, and a comfortable technical shirt. Oh yeah, and so much fun. We love to have you race with us.

Bring your USAT card and ID, please. You need it to pick up your packet :)
Remember that park entry is not included, so we encourage you to purchase an annual pass, camping, or carpooling on race day. Check the website for free course preview dates! We hold a free pre-race swim in August, a bike course preview in September, and a run in early October. The park and all the courses are open to the public year round.
Packet Pcik up will be held at Trisports.com on Thursday, October 22 from 4-6 pm
or Tucson Endurance Performance Center on Friday, October 23 from 10 am- Noon
or on race day starting at 6:30 am at the Beach Ramada.
Remember shirt sizes and colors are first come first serve at pakcet pickup.
TRANSITION AREA is open 6:30- 8:00 am. Transition closes PROMPTLY at 8:00 in order to begin the Sprint distance Tri and to minimize confusion with timing chips. Please plan to have all your race start necessities like goggles, cap, and wetsuit with you when transition closes at 8:00 am.
8:00 am Sprint and Duathlon start at Boat Ramp
8:30 am 5K/10K and Olympic start at Boat Ramp
There is a shoe cart for your use at the starting area.
All events start at the boat ramp, even those that require no swimming.
Start times are 8:00 am for the Sprint and duathlon, 8:30 for the Olympic, 5K and 10K.
Post race meal is a burrito plate served at 11 am! And it's worth waiting for if you do a shorter distance.
Awards for the Duathlon, 5K, 10K and Sprint will follow the last finihers of those events at approximately 10:00.
Awards for the Olympic will be presented at Noon.
