About This Activity

Parris Island is one of the most visited military facilities in the world, hosting more than 120,000 guests each year.  It is the headquarters of the Eastern Recruiting Region and for recruit training for males east of the Mississippi River and for all females.

Both the 5K / 15K start and finish areas are located next to the historic Peatross Parade Deck where approximately 19,000 Marines graduate each year.  Both routes will start out of the parade deck parking lot and will pass the “Iron Mike” monument and Commanding General’s building.  The routes continue along shady Nicaragua St which parallels the Harbor River.  The 5k route will make the out and back turn at Traditions while the 15K route will continue on pass D.I. Bridge through to Elliot’s Beach for the turn around.
