About This Activity

Conquer one of the most challenging Super Centuries in the West.
Spectacular climbing, descents, and beauty that thrill seekers rave
about. Last year twenty riders set out and six of them finished.
A joyful 126 miles and only 4 stop signs.

Choose your Lassen Foothills adventure. Adventure Challenges for
the elite rider: 63, 103, or 126 miles. Short and Sweet for families and
fun: 26 or 41 miles.

Enjoy delicious food and friendly service. Helpful volunteers, full
sag support with radio communication, rest stops with tasty food. Your
after-ride dinner prepared to order by Fresh Fire Grill—hot meals, cold
salads, fresh, organic. Party includes local music, beer and wine.

Support Better Bikeways, greenways and trails. Proceeds from
your ride benefit the local programs of Shasta Living Streets.

All rides start from Foothill High School in Palo Cedro (9733 Deschutes Road Palo Cedro, CA)

Super Century: 5:30 – 6:30 AM
Century: 6:00 – 7:30 AM
Metric Century: 7:00 – 8:00 AM
Two Fifths Century: 8:00 – 9:00 AM
Quarter Century: 8:30 – 9:00 AM

THE SUPER CENTURY presents the challenge with
126 miles of country roads and 11,000 feet of climbing.
Warm up on the climb up Millville Plains and Ash Creek
Roads and the fun begins. Ringed by vistas of
snow-capped Mt. Shasta, Mt. Lassen and rolling foothills
decked with Fall colors, orange pavement markings show
the way over this challenging course. Ride start from 5:30
–6:30 A.M.

Century (103 miles) — Not quite sure about the Super
Century? This shorter century ride will still have you saying, “Give
me wings.” Blue markings show the way through this challenging
century with 8,400 feet of climbing. Ride start from 6:00 –7:30 A.M.

Metric Century (63 miles) — Follow the yellow markings
along the 63 mile route. Approximately 3,800 feet of climbing.
Ride start from 7:00–8:00 A.M.

Two Fifths Century (41 miles) — Follow the green
markers and enjoy a pleasant ride designed for the experienced
rider. Fall colors add to the joy of this ride with nearly 1,540 feet
of elevation gain. Ride start from 8:00–9:00 A.M.

Quarter Century (26 miles) — Purple markings indicate
the route over gently rolling hills suitable for the novice rider. Ride
start from 8:30–9:00 A.M.

Registration and pre-ride check-in: Check-in begins Saturday at
5:00 A.M. at the Foothill High School in Palo Cedro. A wristband
identifies you as a paid-up rider and is required for all food and
support. Friday pre-registration will be available at the high school
5:00–8:00 P.M.

Rest stops and meals: Rest stop opening and closing times and
miles to each will be provided to all riders. Fresh Fire Grill will be
serving the after ride dinner along with beer, wine and fun.

Rain or shine, the Jamboree Rides will take place. Be prepared. Carry
adequate tools, spares, water bottles, money and identification. Sag
vehicles will be on the course all day to provide assistance and radio
communication. Riders beginning after the starting time cannot
expect full sag, rest stop support, or food service.

All riders must obey the California Vehicle Code. Local authorities may cite
violators. ANSI-approved helmets are required for participation in any Shasta
Wheelmen event. No refund of entry fees for any reason.

Directions to Start-Finish: From I-5 to Redding, take the
Lassen Park Highway 44 exit East (Exit 678). Travel
approximately 7 miles to Palo Cedro. Exit and turn left onto
Deschutes Road. Travel approximately one mile to the
entrance to the Foothill High School parking lot and
registration. Early registration Friday 5:00–8:00 P. M. at the high
school parking lot.
