About This Activity

#RunPalmSprings! Make room for that extra piece of pie by running the Wild Turkey Trot in iconic Palm Springs, California on Thanksgiving morning at 8AM.  Start and finish downtown, in perfect racing weather, on beautiful Palm Canyon.  More bling than any of the other desert turkey day races.  All participants receive a long sleeved tech t-shirt, finisher medal, free finisher photo download and wild turkey hat! A portion of your entry supports local valley charities providing food for those in need. This race is brought to you by the Palm Springs Marathon Runners with a reputation of awesome themed races supporting local charities! Complete both the Klein-Clark Palm Springs Tramroad Challenge on October 24th AND the Wild Turkey Trot on November 26th and earn yourself a special T 'n T (Tram & Trot) medal!!!

Event details and schedule


The 5K course is runner, walker, stroller and doggie friendly and starts and finishes in downtown Palm Springs on iconic Palm Canyon. Run through beautiful neighborhoods on this fast and flat course. Show your holiday spirit and run as a turkey, pilgrim, etc. and vie for special trophies for the first costumed holiday finishers.  Keep an eye out for Santa Claus who will be there to welcome in the holiday season!


Finisher medals for all!  Age group medals awarded 3 deep in 5 year age categories through 85+.  Trophies for top 3 finishers male, female and 4-legged. Special trophy for top finishing fully costumed runners 1st, 2nd and 3rd.


Super cool long sleeved tech T-shirt included with registration for all 5K participants.

Packet Pick-Up

Packet pick-up will be held on Wednesday, November 25th from 10AM - 5PM at Running Wild 611 S. Palm Canyon, Palm Springs or on race morning, onsite beginning at 6:30AM.  Race begins at 8AM. Late registraton will also be available at packet pick-up and race morning.


Off-site parking available in city parking structure and on surrounding streets.
