About This Activity

The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association would like to present a 5k run/walk to benefit the children of Miami University's Speech and Hearing Clinic! We invite you to raise money for the therapy sessions for the children who attend Miami's On-Campus Speech and Hearing Clinic.  Join us on a run/walk around the campus, beginning and ending on the front lawn of Millett.

When you register, join one of the three color teams. The pink team is raising funds for a 5-year old boy with unintelligible speech, whose grandparents help mom to pay for therapy. The blue team will fund therapy sessions for a 6-year old boy with severe apraxia and a language delay. The severity of his apraxia will likely mean individual therapy for a few years and his family is paying entire cost out-of-pocket. The yellow team supports a 4-year old boy, nonverbal, phonological and language delay. His insurance covers limited number of visits and now the family has to pay out-of-pocket.

Event schedule and times

Check in and registration begins at 9am. The race will begin promptly at 9:30am.
