STRIVE Wellness Run for Owatonna Rotary

About This Activity
The wellness run is 4 miles in length and begins at 9:00 A.M. Saturday morning. The run starts and ends at Owatonna High School winding through the residential streets of Owatonna. The course is certified and chip timed. There will be age group and gender placement awards. The entry fee is $25 for pre-registered participants and $30 for registrants the day of the Run.
The STRIVE run is a partnership between the Owatonna Rotary Clubs, Owatonna High School, Owatonna Hospital and the Steele County Free Fair. STRIVE is an acronym and stands for ‘Students Taking A Renewed Interest in the Value of Education’. Net proceeds from this event go toward scholarships for high school students participating in the STRIVE program. The STRIVE program is where Rotary Club members work one on one with selected STRIVE students for purposes of motivating improvement in their school performance in their senior year. At the conclusion of the 7 month program Students are eligible for scholarships based upon improvement in grades, school attendance and participation.
