Come support our community with your family and friends at the 6th Annual Outpacing Melanoma 5K Run/Walk & Dot to Dot Kid Trot on Sunday, May 7th, at 8 a.m. in the prestigious setting of Corporate Woods Office Park.
The 5K course is USATF certified, and custom medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each age division. Plaques are given to the Overall male and female and Overall Masters male and female.
The Kid Trot is for children ages 10 and under. Each participant receives a ribbon, goody bag and t-shirt. Children’s entertainment includes a bounce house, balloon artist, and the Pink Starlets from Shear Madness.
Guest speakers will shed light and hope on melanoma (the deadliest form of skin cancer) while participants are invited to enjoy post race refreshments. Strollers and dogs (on a leash) are welcome too!
Outpacing Melanoma Foundation is a Kansas City based 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that supports The University of Kansas Cancer Center through the Richard A. Klover Melanoma Fund. All proceeds help to fight Melanoma in the Kansas City region and the State of Kansas by increasing public awareness, promoting early detection and prevention, and funding research initiatives.
