About This Activity

Watch up to two dozen ultralights and light planes descend onto the grass airstrip of the EAA AirVenture Museum's Pioneer Airport on Saturday, June 14, during EAA's Ultralight Day 2014.

By invitation, and using special procedures, members of EAA Ultralight Chapters 1 and 75 will fly their ultralights and light planes to EAA's Pioneer Airport in two mass arrivals between 9-10 a.m., weather permitting. Beginning at about 1 p.m., pilots will conduct several pilot proficiency events, which include accuracy landings, bean bag drops, and "torpedo run" contests.
EAA's Ultralight Day is a wonderful opportunity for the public to see up close and learn about this fun and affordable way to fly.
Admission to watch this event is included with regular museum admission. As always, there is no charge for EAA members.
