About This Activity

The Oshkosh 5K for Mental Health & Suicide Awareness, hosted by NAMI Oshkosh and Community For Hope is an event designed to raise awareness of local prevention, education, advocacy in Winnebago County.  The event will be held at Oshkosh North High School on April 30, 2016!

The Oshkosh 5K for Mental Health and Suicide Awareness 2016 allows us to partner with local agencies, community organizations and businesses.   During the event, these partners are present to provide information related to a number of topics, including suicide, mental health, substance abuse, domestic and sexual violence, veteran benefits, and children/teen prevention efforts.   This year’s walk will include speakers from NAMI Oshkosh, Community for Hope and Rise Together.

NAMI Oshkosh is a non profit organization dedicated to providing education, advocacy and support to individuals, families and friends who are seeking tools to cope with mental illness.  Community For Hope is a local non profit organization providing suicide intervention, education and grief support to those who have been touched by suicide.  Both agencies provide provide services at no cost to the participant.
