RACE DAY REGISTRATION/PACKET PICK-UP Opens at 6:00 a.m. and located in front of Orlando Metro Gymnastics Baldwin Park.
START The start is located by the lakefront in downtown Baldwin Park. “Pace per mile” signs are provided to assist you with your specific starting group. For safety and courtesy to other participants please line up according to your anticipated mile time.
CHIP SCORING The “Chip Time Scoring” is the timing device used to score 5k participants. In order to receive an accurate time, please confirm your bib is: Clearly visible on the FRONT of the torso, unaltered or modified and not covered.
FINISH The finish is located by the lakefront downtown (loop route).
COURSE Our race begins in downtown Baldwin Park and will wind around beautiful Lake Baldwin’s paved trail, then finish in front of the fountain by the lake downtown. Bicycles, roller skates, in-line skates, and dogs will be prohibited from the race course. The use of headphones is discouraged.
STROLLER RESTRICTIONS Stroller/jogger operators start behind designated stroller signage.Stroller/jogger operators may walk/jog no faster than 15 minutes per mile, a safe operating Speed. If your speed goes faster than 15 minutes per mile pace, you may be disqualified. Stroller/jogger operators must yield the right of way to runners. Stroller/Joggers can tip easily and cannot turn quickly. Please do not weave through packs of runners.
WALKER FRIENDY Walkers are encouraged to participate in the Panua 5k. Municipalities require that roadways are clear of participants and opened as soon as the race is complete. That is why a maximum pace of 16 minutes per mile is set. If the pace isn’t maintained, race officials will ask you to move to the sidewalk to re-open the roadways.
RESULTS Results will be available at the race. For same day online results go to run4acause.org. Runners and walkers who wear the designated chip are included in the race results.
AWARDS/GIVEAWAYS The top 10 males and top 10 females will receive awards. The first 300 finishers will receive a stainless steel Panua water bottle. Members of the largest team will receive a small prize. Every 5K registration includes a soft, Tultex t-shirt. Kids’ Run participants will each receive a prize.
KIDS' RUN Distances will range from 50 to 400 yards. Children will be placed in age groups. Ribbons to all finishers.
