About This Activity

Join the Scott Carter Foundation as we travel to Florida to participate in the 2017 WALT DISNEY WORLD® Marathon Weekend presented by Cigna!  Scott Carter was a 13-year old boy who died in December of 1993 after a courageous three-year battle with bone cancer.  The Scott Carter Foundation was formed to help make Scott’s dream of finding a cure a reality.  All money raised will go toward finding a cure for childhood cancers!  Scott collected sports memorabilia and part of his collection is on display at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.  Our runners have the opportunity to visit Scott’s collection when attending the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo to pick up race bibs before each event!

 All funds must be raised by January 1, 2017.  If funds are not raised by January 1, 2017, the participant agrees to meet the fundraising minimum requirement personally on that date or the race entry may be forefeited with no refund.  All races are non-transferable and non-refundable.

* Participants must attend Packet Pick-up at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo to receive their race packet, bib, and t-shirt.  Finisher medallions will be distributed to finishers after the race.  None of these items will be mailed to registrants that did not participate.  Disney reserves the right to refuse the entry into, and/or revoke any registration for, any race for any reason in its sole discretion with refund of any applicable registration fees being the sole remedy of any such refusal and/or revocation.

Waivers

Waivers will be provided online approximately two weeks before the race.  You must have your signed waiver and Photo ID with you to pick up your race packet.

Packet Pick-Up

You must pick up your own participant packet which includes your event-issued bib number and timing device during regularly scheduled hours.  Individuals will no longer be able to pick up participant packets on behalf of others.  Visit the Expo at the ESPN Wide World of Sports to pick up your Race Packet.  If you do not have a valid photo ID (driver’s license, passport, Military ID, Government issued ID) we cannot issue you your race bib.  No exceptions will be made.

Proof of Time Guidelines

Proof of time must be provided from an officially times race reflecting results after January 1, 2015.  Runners will be placed in the last corral if the appropriate race distance is not submitted for Proof of Time.

If proof of time is not provided by October 4, 2016, data provided is incomplete or cannot be verified, you will be placed in the last start corral.  No corral changes will be made after October 4, 2016.

Registration Policy

All races are non-transferable between individuals, between event weekends, and to events that have reached capacity/sold-out.  Race entries/bibs are not transferable from one person/participant to another person/participant.  Disney reserves the right to refuse the entry into, and/or revoke any registration for, any race for any reason in its sole discretion with refund of any applicable registration fees being the sole remedy of any such refusal and/or revocation.  Entry fees are non-refundable.  Dates, times and prices subject to change, and all races are subject to capacity limits and may close at any time.
