Is the race hard?
No, that’s no fun! OPS Color FUN Run is just that.....FUN! It is the best way to go nuts with friends, family, or imaginary people. You won’t be timed, so there is no pressure to hurry to the finish line. Come partake in the colorful world we have created for you!
What is the color made of?
The magical color powder we use is custom manufactured and produced right here in the United States. It is made from food grade quality cornstarch using an advanced manufacturing process. It is non-toxic, is 100% safe, and also biodegradable. As with any substance, you will want to keep it out of your eyes and lungs. If you are overly sensitive, you may want to wear glasses or goggles for your eyes and use a bandana or dust mask for your mouth. (This is especially recommended for our younger runners/walkers)
Are kids allowed?
Yes, kids love to get colored just as much as the rest of us. All kids must have a release waiver signed by a parent/guardian and turned in before they are allowed to participate.  All kids under the age of 12 must be supervised by a participating adult.
Can my family watch?
Most definitely they can come be a part of the most insane color day of your life! Just be sure to give them a big hug at the finish line for coming to support you!

Can I Walk?
Walking is totally acceptable. You will be one of many who will be walking. We don’t time the race and it is non-competitive, so you won’t feel any pressure.
Can I purchase more items?
There will be additional color powder for purchase as well yummy Chick Fil A food on site for puchase.

What do I get for registering?
Early registration cost is $40 for adults and $20 for children 8-18 years old; children under 8 are FREE!  Registration cost after Feb 14th is $45 for adults, $25 for children 8-18 and children under 8 are $5.00 Registration after Feb 21st does NOT guarantee you a super cool tshirt. With registration you will receive a OPS 5K Color Fun Run
T-shirt, and a goodie bag with lots of cool stuff from our sponsors and 1 color pack to throw at yourself, friend or foe.

Where can I pick up my race package?
Pre-race pickup with be at OPS Lower Campus at 168 Prep St in Orangeburg on Friday, March 13th from 7:30am until 7:00pm AND on Race Day from 7:30am until 8:30am. Your race shirt will be in the package.

Can I run with my Dog?
Dogs and other pets (anything non-human that poops) are not eligible to participate in the 5K Color Fun Run.
Are there age limits?
No way! Everyone is welcome to come have tons of colorful fun at the OPS 5K Color Fun Run! Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome! We do recommend that your kids are properly protected with sunglasses, and for toddlers and infants, maybe even something to cover their mouth. The powdered paint is non-toxic and made mainly with corn starch, but it could irritate the smaller ones more than us.

What should I wear?
Wear your awesome new OPS 5K Color Fun Run shirt found in your race package. The rest is up to you!! We suggest white clothing because it shows the color the best!
Will the color stain my clothes, shoes, or makeup?
If you want a lot of color to hit your shirt, plan to run or walk closer to the color throwers. If you want only a little bit of color, run or walk in the farthest lane from the throwers. The color does mostly wash out after the event, but some of it can stain. As with anything, the sooner you wash it the better. We suggest wearing items that you wouldn’t mind getting colorful.

Will the color get in my car?
Bring a towel or some plastic bags along, and you’ll be just fine. However, if you do get some in your vehicle, it can be dusted away or vacuumed easily.
