About This Activity

Age Group Nationals is USA Triathlon’s longest-running National Championships event and was first held in 1983. Since 2010, the event has grown nearly 250 percent in the number of registered participants and is now consistently one of the top-three largest triathlons in the United States. The two-day event features the Olympic-Distance National Championships on Saturday, Aug. 13, with athletes competing on a 1,500-meter swim, 40-kilometer bike, 10-kilometer run course, and the Sprint National Championships, a 750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run race, on Sunday, Aug. 14.  More information regarding the Draft-Legal Sprint Tri Qualifier should be released in the next 6-8 weeks, if not sooner.  Note that both the non-draft sprint held in Omaha and the Draft-Legal Sprint Tri Qualifier will qualify athletes for Team USA.  Additional details will be made available in the coming weeks in terms of Team USA allocations.

Omaha is a national sports hub. The city hosts the College World Series annually since 1950, and will host the USA Swimming Olympic Trials for the third time this summer. Omaha has also hosted the U.S. Figure Skating Championships and the 2015 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Grand Prix Final Round.
