About This Activity

The 2nd Annual West Carter Crusade 5k Run & Walk presented by WCMS 7th grade Beta was developed to support students in need at WCMS. This year our 5k will go to benefit Tristen Cole and his family. Tristen is a 7th grade student at WCMS who was diagnosed in 2010 with T-Cell ALL Leukemia. Childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (also called ALL) is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. It is a fast-growing cancer of lymphocyte-forming cells called lymphoblasts. It is a fast-growing cancer of lymphocyte-forming cells called lymphoblasts. About 15% to 18% of children with ALL have T-cell ALL.

The 5k is a fun, healthy and kid friendly event catering to runners, health walkers and families who seek to raise their heart rates and have the heart to support a noble cause. We are excited to announce that Appalachian Timing Group (APTiming) will be our official timer for this year’s race.
