About This Activity

The Ocala Lions Club is sponsoring this 5 kilometer race (exactly measured and certified 3.105 miles) to fund the Kid Sight screening process to detect lazy eye in children 1-6, a condition affecting 11% of all children. The Greenway Park on base line road is a paved and shady, mostly flat course.

Event details and schedule

The Ocala Lions Club presents the Lion 5K for Kid Sight, a 5K certified race at Greenway Park  at 8 AM on March 14, 2015. Proceeds go to fund Kid Sight screening for lazy eye, a condition affecting 11% of all children.

The race provides water, gatorade, fruit, and many other refreshments for all runners. All runners also receive a tee shirt, finisher's medal upon completion, and a fun experience. Open to all ages with no time limit. The course is all paved.

Race packets may be picked up on race day at Greenway Park from 5:30-6:30 AM. Race day registration ($25) is available on race day also from 5:30 -6:30 AM at Greenway Park.
