About This Activity

Whether you’re an athlete beginning your fitness journey or competing to win, Together We Tri Cares invites you join us at the 1st Annual Sunset Shuffle 5K on Thursday, April 30 at 6:30pm.

Runners, joggers and walkers will enjoy a post-race party including a live entertainment dance party, and the best EXPO on the North Shore from our vendors supporting our community and event.

Course Description

The race will start and finish in Gallery Park. Pre and Post race events will be held on Navy Blvd. directly west of Gallery Park.

  • The course is 3.1 miles, USATF certified, and a CARA sanctioned race.
  • Digital clocks at Mile 1 & Mile 2. 
  • Water stations will be located at Mile 1, Mile 2 and the Finish Line.  
  • Athletes will be timed using ChronoTrack disposable B-tag to ensure accurate race timing.  

In-line skates, skateboards, baby joggers and dogs are not permitted on the course.

Packet  Pick Up

Tuesday, April 28 at Road Runner Sports, Wilmette - 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Race Day –Thursday, April 30, 2015 

4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Day-of registration, packet pickup, and EXPO
6:00 p.m. Pre-race warm up hosted by Libby Hurley, Together We Tri  
6:30 p.m. 5k race begins
7:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. Post-race party


Awards will be presented to finishers in the following categories:

  • Overall 
  • Age 6 & Under
  • Ages 7-10
  • Ages 11-14
  • Ages 15-19
  • Ages 20-29
  • Ages 30-39
  • Ages 40-49
  • Ages 50-59
  • Ages 60-69
  • Ages 70+


Gear Check

Gear check will be available race day beginning at 4:30 pm. Checked gear will be limited to your swag bag.

Parking & Directions

Parking is available at the Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Avenue or public parking garages in the Glen Town Center.

A portion of our event proceeds will be donated to our charity partners, Dare2Tri Paratriathlon Club and Gilda's Club Chicago.
