About This Activity

The Boys and Girls Club of the Metro west area invites you to come walk/run/support in this years "5K For The Kids" race to raise money in sustaining a safe environment along with supplying sports equipment to kids in your area.  The thrilling yet challenging course runs through Algonquin Regional High School located at 79 Bartlette Street Northborough MA on October 26, 2014. Along the way you will be showered in various colors of chalk. Starting with a white t-shirt and ending with a rainbow one this event is fun for all! Men, women and kids of all ages are encourage to come support the cause in the hope of keeping clubs as important as The Boys and Girls Club a functioning safe organization with enough supplies for years to come. The first three men and women to finish the race will be awarded in various gift cards and metals! Come out and support in any way you can!

7:15-Set up timing equipment and chutes

8:00-10:00 Registration. People who register after October 12 will be charged $30. People who sign up the day of can either pay $30 cash or make out a check to The Boys and Girls Club of Metrowest. First 100 that registered will recieve a free t-shirt. Sign registration forms if haven't done already. Hand registration forms to Allie Courtwright, Baylee Burns, or Stephanie McGovern. Kids wil need a parent signature on their form.

8:00-10:00 Bib numbers and shirts will be handed out.

8:30 Enter new registration forms

9:00 Raffle table

9:00 Food Set Up

10:00 Runners race begins

10:15 Walkers race begins

11:00 Timings and Results. Writing Bib number on clipboard

11:00-11:30 Music and color celebration

12:00- Clean up

The course goes throughout the Algonquin complex and Hemlock Drive. No main roads will be crossed.

Arrive between 8:00 and 10:00 for plenty of time to register and prepare for the race

Park in the upper Algonquin lots near the main enterance of the school, and the upper school office parking lot. Please do not park in the parking lot behind the gym.

Registration forms should be filled out before participating in the race.

Wear clothes that you would not mind getting color on, if in the first 200 to register wear the shirt provided. Feel free to wear sunglasses of any type of protective eyewear if you think the color will be a problem getting into your eyes. Water and food will be provided.

This race is in support of The Boys and Girls Club of Metrowest to fund for athletic equipment and other needed items for the club. Come and support in any way you can. If you find that you want to help out, but can not participate at the 5K please donate.
