About This Activity
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro west invite you to participate in the 2nd Annual "5K For The Kids" race to raise money for sustaining a safe environment, as well as supplying sports equipment and providing memberships for children in the area. The race will take place at Algonquin Regional High School on November 7th, 2015. Along the way you will be showered in various colors of chalk. Starting with a white t-shirt and ending with a rainbow one, this event is suited for all! Men, women, and kids of all ages are encouraged to come support the cause, in hopes of keeping organizations, such as The Boys and Girls Clubs, functioning and safe environments with sufficient equipment and supplies for years to come. The first 100 to show up on race day will receive a free t-shirt! Following the race, there will be a barbecue with music and other festivities!

8:15-Set up timing equipment and chutes
9:00-11:00 Registration. People who register after October 25th will be charged $30. People who sign up the day of can either pay $30 cash or make out a check to The Boys and Girls Club of Metrowest. First 100 that registered will recieve a free t-shirt. Sign registration forms if haven't done already. Hand registration forms to Sarah Fodor, Parker Lescalleet, or Catrina Healey. Kids wil need a parent signature on their form.
9:00-11:00 Bib numbers and shirts will be handed out.
9:30 Enter new registration forms
11:00 Runners race begins
11:15 Walkers race begins
12:00 Timings and Results. Writing Bib number on clipboard
12:00-1:30 Music, barbeque, and other festivities
2:00- Clean up
The course goes throughout the Algonquin complex and Hemlock Drive. No main roads will be crossed.
Arrive between 9:00 and 11:00 for plenty of time to register and prepare for the race
Park in the upper Algonquin lots near the main enterance of the school, and the upper school office parking lot. Please do not park in the parking lot behind the gym.
Registration forms should be filled out before participating in the race.
Wear clothes that you would not mind getting color on, if in the first 100 to register wear the shirt provided. Feel free to wear sunglasses of any type of protective eyewear if you think the color will be a problem getting into your eyes. Water and food will be provided.
This race is in support of The Boys and Girls Club of Metrowest to fund for athletic equipment and other needed items for the club. Come and support in any way you can. If you find that you want to help out, but can not participate at the 5K please donate.
