Join us in the City-by-the-Sea for this stunning marathon, half marathon and 5k. Newport Rhode Races kicks off Daffodil Days with the races starting from Easton's Beach where nearly 100,000 daffodils will be in bloom. (We'll call it Dash through the Daffodils!)
The Marathon will start at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Easton's Beach in Newport, RI. The Tufts Health Plan Half Marathon will start at 7:45 a.m. from the same location. The 5k will follow at 8:00 am - all from the same beautiful seaside start.
Beach Mile will start at noon time, on the beach adjacent to the finish line. It is an out and back on Easton’s Beach, finishing under the Race Arch. As the race is on the beach, please plan for uneven surfaces, beach debris, seaweed, shells, all those wonderful items that we love about the ocean. This will be part of the challenge of completing the course.
The marathon course is USATF certified and is a Boston Marathon Qualifier.
Please respect our native environment - STAY OFF THE DUNES, use trash receptacles, and recycle as much as possible.
Please Note: Newport Rhode Races will be happening rain or shine. Because of the logistics of planning for a race of this size, we cannot offer refunds for any reason. In the event that weather is severe enough to create an unsafe environment for participants, organizers will cancel the event with no refunds issued.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
There are no age restrictions but you must show your ID when picking up your bib.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking is available in Middletown and participants will be shuttled to the start. THERE IS NO PARKING at the race site. Please arrive early enough to park, load the shuttles and get settled before race day. Marathon parking is at 2nd Beach, Tufts Half Marathon and 5k parking is at the Aquidneck Corporate Park. Shuttles will take runners and spectators, with runners having 1st priority. SHUTTLE BUSES WILL SHUT DOWN AT 7am. Please arrive EARLY as not all participants will fit on those last buses.
Is my race registration transferrable?
Yes - you can transfer your bib, transfer your race entry to select other races in our portfolio within one year, or defer your entry to next year's race. Transfer and deferral requests must be received before online registration closes, typically 2 days before race day. Please visit this link for steps to complete this procedure.
How do I check on my race registration?
Please visit RunSignup.com/profile to verify your race entry and make any changes - profile updates, upgrades/downgrades, transfers, deferrals, etc.
Where and when is packet pick up?
Times are located on our website at this link. Please note - race packets MUST be picked up in advance of race day unless you have reserved RACE DAY packet pick up during the registration process.
