Benefiting Safe Harbors Of The Hudson, the newly rechristened, Newburgh Running Festival is the premier Orange County running event featuring stunning views of the Hudson River and the famous architecture of Newburgh’s historic district.
Course: The USATF certified courses start and finish in historic downtown Newburgh. The half marathon will take you on a great tour of both city and town. Half Marathon Course map
Time Limit: The official time limit is 3 hours but as a rule of thumb the last thing we unplug is the finish line mat – take your chances over 3:00.
Awards: Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners overall in each race. Age group awards in the half will be awarded to the top three in each of the following age groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over.
Packet Pickup: Packet pickup will take place on Thursday, May 7th from 4-8 PM at the Jackrabbit Union Square, 42 West 14th. St. Packet pickup will take place on Friday, May 8th from 5-8 PM at the Ritz Theater (107 Broadway, Newburgh, NY 12550) in Newburgh. Race-day packet pickup will be available at the race start line beginning at 7:30 AM. We strongly encourage you to pick up your race materials in advance of race day to avoid lines.
Amenities: A great short sleeve technical race shirt and an amazing finisher medal will be included. Bag check and toilets will be provided. Bagels, spreads, and fresh fruit will make up a great post race spread.
Directions: Please use Google Maps for driving directions. Parking will be available near 111 Broadway in downtown Newburgh.
Transportation: Round-trip bus transportation from NYC may be purchased for $40. The bus will make two pickups: one at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn at 6:00 AM sharp, and the other at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan at 6:30 AM sharp. The bus will depart Newburgh to return to NYC at approximately 12:30 PM. The bus will drop off passengers at Madison Square Garden and the Barclays Center.
Cost: The half marathon will be $50 until March 31st. The price goes up $5.00 on April 1st and again on May 1st. Race day registration (if available) will be $80 for the half.
