About This Activity

The Major Taylor Cycling Club of New Jersey (MTCCNJ) is pleased to host the 37th edition of the New Hope Ride. In the past this event has been a unity ride for several Major Taylor bike clubs in the Tri state area and MTCCNJ is looking to expand participation. Proceeds will benefit the PSE&G Children’s Specialized Hospital.

Three route options begin at Newark Penn Station.  All routes have SAG support and water stations. The first 27 miles are intersection controlled with a police escort through Essex, Union, Middlesex and Somerset counties terminating at the New Brunswick NJ Transit train station. The 27 mile route is a one way route and cyclists will need to take the train back to Newark Penn. The 58 mile route loops back to Newark Penn. The Century+ (118 miles) route features some of New Jersey’s most scenic farm lands through Hunterdon and Mercer counties, and loops back to Newark Penn.
