The Race For The Hardcore Is Back! Do you think you have what it takes to run 3 laps of Prospect Park in the middle of February? No? Well what about recruiting 2 of your running buddies and forming a 3 person team, sharing the load and running one loop each?
On Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 10:00 AM – regardless of rain, snow, wind, hail, sleet, fog, frost… or even sun – join us for the 19th Annual Cherry Tree 10 Miler and 3 Person relay. The Start is on West Drive and the Finish line is on Center Drive. We’ve got baggage check and great post-race refreshments (bagels, spreads, fruit and hot chocolate) at a new location this year, PS 154 located at 1625 11thAvenue in Windsor Terrace (between Sherman Street and Windsor Place). Plus we’re working on a pretty cool give-away for all entrants.
In the interests of safety, use of headphones is strongly discouraged, pets and strollers are not allowed.
Course: 3 loops of Prospect Park, Start on West Drive near Center Drive, Finish on Center Drive.
Awards: Cash awards to the Top 3 Overall Men and Women in the 10 Miler ($100 first, $50 second, $25 third). Awards to the Top 3 in the 10 Miler in each age group: Men / Women 19 and under; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70+
Offsite Packet Pickup: Friday 2/13at JackRabbit Union Square from 4-8PM. Saturday 2/14 at JackRabbit Park Slope from 10-2PM.
Race Day Packet Pickup and In-Person Registration (if available): 8:00 – 9:30 AM at PS 154, 1625 11th Ave.(between Sherman St. and Windsor Pl.) Note New Location!
Baggage Check: Bag check will be provided at PS 154 – no bag check at Start / Finish area in the Park.
Course Facilities & Post-Race Refreshments: Toilets at Start / Finish, 2 water stations on the course plus at Finish area. Bagels, spreads, fruit and hot chocolate will be available at PS 154 immediately after the race.
Getting to the Race: Closest subway is the F / G to 15th Street / Prospect Park. Please check MTA Trip Planner for directions and service changes. If you are driving you can find directions on Google Maps – please be aware that street parking may be limited near the Start, so we encourage you to use mass transit.
Price: $25 through January 28th, $35 until online registration closes on February 11th, $45 thereafter unless the race sells out. PPTC Members receive an automatic discount when they register online if they have joined or renewed their membership through NYCRUNS. Otherwise please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Race Cap & Time Limit: The 10 Miler and 3-person Relay are capped at a total of 1,500 entrants combined. The official time limit is 2 hours 30 minutes (15 minutes per mile).
The standard no refunds, no deferrals, no transfers policies apply.
