Everyone’s favorite Chanukkah-themed race is back! Please join NYCRUNS for the Running Festival of Lights in Shore Road Park! In the brilliant words of Adam Sandler, it’s “so much funnukah to celebrate Chanukkah!” We couldn’t agree more. What better way to celebrate than by running the Chanukkah Gelt 5K, the Oy Vey 10K or the Chanukkah Chalf?
Courses: You can choose the 5K, 10K or Half-Marathon — all on the super-flat, scenic bike path that hugs the southern edge of Brooklyn. You’ll run under the Verrazano Bridge and see the Manhattan skyline from a dozen miles away. It’s New York running from a whole new perspective — believe it.
On race day (Sunday, December 6th) at the start line beginning at 7:00 AM
Amenities: A great long-sleeve tech shirt (with the race names on the shirt), Channukah gelt and an amazing Chanukkah-themed medal will be included in your registration. Bag check and toilets will be provided. Hot chocolate, bagels, spreads, and fresh fruit (the typical nosh!) will make up the usual great NYCRUNS post-race spread.
Directions: Take the R train to Bay Ridge Avenue and walk downhill to Shore Road Park. Please check MTA Trip Planner for up to date and detailed mass transit directions and Google Maps for driving directions. Parking is limited at all of our events, we strongly encourage you to use mass transit.
Cost: $40 through 11/1 and $50 while online registration is still available thereafter. In-person registration (if available) will be $60 (cash and credit card accepted). NYCRUNS members receive a 10% discount, race deferral rights, and other perks.
The standard no-refunds, no-deferrals, no-transfers policy applies, unless you are signed up for the NYCRUNS membership program.
