Join us for our fourth annual installment of this great 5K & 10K on Roosevelt Island! This early-December event comes at the perfect time to break up the holiday season, helping you to stay focused amid all the cookies and cocktail parties. Plus cocoa always tastes better when it’s earned!

Courses: Please see our standard 5K and 10K course map for this event.

Awards: Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners overall in each race.  Age group awards in the 5K will be awarded to the top three in each the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over.  Age group awards in the 10K will be awarded to the top three in each of the following age groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over.  Our awards policy is available here.

Packet Pickup: Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, December 4 from 4-8 PM at JackRabbit Sports – Union Square (42 W. 14th Street, between 5th Ave. and 6th Ave.).  Race-day packet pickup will be available at the start line beginning at 8:00 AM.  We strongly encourage you to pick up your race materials in advance of race day to avoid lines.

Amenities: Bag check and toilets will be provided. A free cocoa mug will be given to all participants. Cocoa, bagels, spreads, and fresh fruit will make up the usual great post race spread.

Directions: Take the F train or Tram to Roosevelt Island  All pre- and post-race activities are on Firefighters Field, a short walk from public transit, just north of both starting areas and just south of the finish. Please checkMTA Trip Planner for up to date and detailed mass transit directions and Google Maps for driving directions. Parking is limited at all of our events, we strongly encourage you to use mass transit.

Cost: $25 through 10/4, $30 through 11/1, and $35 through 11/29 and $40 online thereafter. NYCRUNS members receive a 10% discount, race deferral rights, and other perks. Race day registration (if available) will be $50. Register early and save us all a lot of hassle!
