For dads and those who love them! Join us for the NYCRUNS Fathers’ Day Half Marathon run on the super flat and fast running path that hugs the southern edge of Brooklyn with scenic views of the Verrazano Bridge and the Manhattan Skyline.
Course: A Half Marathon on the super flat and scenic running path that hugs the southern edge of Brooklyn. You’ll run under the Verrazano Bridge and see the Manhattan Skyline from across the harbor. It’s New York running from a whole new perspective.
Time Limit: The official time limit is 3 hours for the half marathon.
Awards: Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners and the top three finishers in each ten year age group.
Packet Pickup: Pre-race packet pickup will take place on Friday, March 6 from 4-8 PM at JackRabbit Sports – Park Slope (151 7th Avenue between Carroll St. and Garfield Pl.). Race day packet pickup will be available at the start line beginning at 8:00 AM. We strongly encourage you to pick up your race materials in advance of race day to avoid lines.
Amenities: All finishers will receive a medal. A great techie shirt will be the giveaway for this race and the usual great NYCRUNS post-race spread will greet you at the finish line. All finishers will receive a finisher’s medal to commemorate their achievement! Bag check and toilets will be provided. H20 and gatorade will be available on the course.
Directions: Take the R train to Bay Ridge Avenue and walk downhill to Shore Road Park. Please check MTA Trip Planner for up to date and detailed mass transit directions and Google Maps for driving directions. Parking is limited at all of our events, we strongly encourage you to use mass transit.
Cost: $40 through 5/03, $45 through 5/31 and $50 thereafter. NYCRUNS members receive a 5% discount, race deferral rights, and other perks.
