Saturday, October 21, 2017
Julien Poydras Center
500 West Main Street
New Roads, LA 70760

Kick off the Alma Plantation Harvest Festival with the1st Annual Donut Dash 5K and 1-Mile!  The race begins in front of Poydras Center with the 1-Mile Fun Run on a CLOSED COURSE through the Harvest Festival booths on Main St., followed by the 5K with a single-loop course through downtown New Roads.  There will be two options for the 5K - your flat and fast typical 5K, or read on...

Participants may enter the costume-driven Donut Challenge and reign as Donut King or Queen.  How does one earn such a title?  Athletes will start the race with the 5K runners and will eat one donut at each mile marker (1, 2 and 3).  The first male and female to cross the finish line with no evidence of a donut for thirty seconds after crossing the line, wins!

Packet pick up takes place the day before at the Business Office at Catholic of Pointe Coupee High School.  This is a chip-timed event, by Cajun Timing.  Age group awards will be given.
