The Neola 1/2 Marathon begins 13 miles north of Neola. The first 4 miles are in Uintah Canyon. They are on a paved road with up and down hill. The next 9 miles are slightly down hill into the town of Neola. The race ends at the Neola Community Park. The 5k starts 3 miles north of Neola. It is a slight downhill into the town of Neola. It also finishes at the Neola Community Park. At the finish line spectators and race participants can enjoy breakfast for a fee. Also, there is a free kids race that begins around 8:00 am. If your child want to run, please e-mail email@example.com We need to know how many kids because we give a prize to all participants of the free kids run. Following the races there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in male and female for the 1/2 marathon and 5 k. Also, every participant has their name in the drawing to win prizes. There is a community parade following the race so if participants are not finished by 9:00 am, there will no longer be a finish line. They can continue the race but the parade will be setting up their route.
The half marathon starts at 6:00 am. You need to be at the Neola Community Park at 5:30 to load buses. The buses will take you to the start line where there will be port-a-potties. Aid stations are every 2 or 3 miles starting at mile 4. The 5k starts at 7:00 am. Runners need to be at the park by 6:40 am to load buses. You will get your shirts and bibs the night before, also at the Neola Community Park. When the race is closer we will send an e-mail out with all the information you need.
