About This Activity

Route 66 Classic- This event has more history than any ride in the United States. Whether your attending the event to win a brand new bike for the fastest time or just to enjoy the day with the family, you will have a great experience. Each ticket includes a free t-shirt, medal, free access to 2 museums in 2 States, along with our 30 mile event ending in a functioning ghost town. Bring your bathing suit since Needles, CA is located on the Colorado River.

66 Mile Event: This event starts at an elevation of 500 ft and has a 10 mile flat ride. Passing over the Colorado River, and riding next to the marshy lands of Goose Lake in the Havasue National Wildlife Refuge. After that you have 27 miles of incline that pass's the "ghost town" of Oatman, Az and peaks at the majestic Black Mountains at an elevation of 3600 ft. Then a 10 mile downhill ride declining 1,300 ft, and to top it all off another 15 miles of incline at 1,100 ft.  Ending at the Route 66 Museum in Kingman, AZ. 

33 Mile Event: This event starts at an elevation of 500 ft and has a 10 mile flat ride. After you pass over the Colorado River and ride next to the marshy lands of Goose Lake in the Havasue National Wildlife Refuge you then climb over 22 miles that tops off at an elevation of 2,500 ft ending at the legendary "ghost town" of Oatman, AZ.

17 Mile Event: After passing over the Colorado River riders will have 7 miles of a slight decline with a couple valley's riding next to the marshy lands of Goose Lake in the Havasue National Wildlife Refuge The next 7 miles have many valley's and peaks that top of at an elevation of 650 ft. Only a 150 ft elevation climb from the starting line ending at the Topock 66 Bar & Grill in Topock, AZ.

35-Mile Off-Road Challenge: This event is a true challenge. It starts in front of the Harvey House on the Historic Route 66 and heads down the Eagle Pass Rd and connects with Eagle Pass Trail.  The road has hard packed dirt and in some places loose sand.  Certain sections may be a little sandy and you might have to get off your bike and carry it.  It then connects to Monumental Pass Trail and heads back to Needles.  This event ends just before HWY 95.

LIMIT: Route 66 Classic is limited to 3500 people total

Online Registration Closes: March 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time or when sold out at 3500

Cancellation Policy: Entry fees are nonrefundable

Friday Packet Pick Up & Late Registration: This will be at the Harvey House in Needles, CA. Bicycle Registration Packets & Vendor booths will be available Friday March 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

Event Day Packet Pick-up and Late Registration: Event Day packet pickup for registered riders and "Day Of" registration is between 6:00am & 8:00 am on Saturday March 28, 2015. We will also be taking late registration for the Off-Road Event till 1 p.m.

ParkingNext to the Chamber of Commerce is tons of parking and even more parking along Main St. in Needles.  

Bus Pick Up: If you don't have a ride to get picked up, we offer busing to any location you desire for a flat fee along with bicycle delivery. Feel free to get dropped off at any different site and picked up when you desire.
