About This Activity

The 2nd Annual Ho!Ho!Hustle in Mt. Pleasant, TN will help fund local efforts to ensure all children in our community have an enjoyable Christmas season. This is the 3rd Mt. Pleasant Santa Train to benefit needy families. A group of hardworking volunteers work with local schools to identify families who may not have the resources to provide Christmas for their children. These children are able to meet Santa and Ms. Claus as he arrives from the North Pole on a train to distribute gifts. The program works much like the well known angel programs. However, the childrens' clothes sizes and a wish list item are listed on trains and distributed in the community to be selected by individuals and businesses. The funds from this race help provide the volunteers the ability to shop and provide for the children whose names are not selected. This program was started in 2012 with the hopes of providing for 50 children. That first year we were able to give joy to 230 children and in 2013 we assisted families to provide for 290 children. Come enjoy a safe 5K route through Mt. Pleasant beginning and ending at the Community Center on Gray Lane. Many local vendors will be set up in the left for pre and post race shopping. The Mt. Pleasant Middle School cheerleaders will be along the race to cheer on runners. Our race theme coincides with the city's parade theme that evening, “Let it Snow!”. Let this be your inspiration to dress up! We encourage costumes and will award best costume to each class! Hope to see you there as we enjoy each other as a community and work together to ensure every child in our town has a memorable Christmas.
